Our History
Founded in 1963, the Penn State MSA is one of the oldest Muslim student organizations in the country. What began as a handful of students gathering for prayer has grown into a community of hundreds, with weekly Jumu'ah, halaqas, Eid celebrations, and service projects across State College.
Generations of alumni carry the friendships and faith they built here into their lives around the world.

For 63 years, students have found prayer, friendship, and a home away from home here, and we are still growing one student at a time. Alhamdulillah.

Do I have to be Muslim to attend events?
Not at all. All of our events are open to everyone. Friends, roommates, and anyone curious who wants to have a good time or is just curious about Islam are always welcome.
How do I become a member?
Fill out the student form on our Get Involved page. There's no fee and no commitment you'll just start receiving event updates.
