Who we are
Since 1963, the Muslim Student Association at Penn State has been a home away from home: a place to pray, learn, serve, and belong.
Our mission
Centering our lives around Allah: prayer, remembrance, and growing closer to the deen together.
A family away from home. Nobody prays alone, breaks fast alone, or struggles alone here.
Serving State College and beyond: volunteering, fundraising, and being of benefit to all.
Halaqas, speaker nights, and honest questions: learning our tradition with depth and humility.
Inviting others through good character, open doors, and honest dialogue.
Est. 1963
Founded in 1963, the Penn State MSA is one of the oldest Muslim student organizations in the country. What began as a handful of students gathering for prayer has grown into a community of hundreds, with weekly Jumu'ah, halaqas, Eid celebrations, and service projects across State College.
Generations of alumni carry the friendships and faith they built here into their lives around the world.

Our roots
Est. 1963
For 63 years, students have found prayer, friendship, and a home away from home here, and we are still growing one student at a time. Alhamdulillah.
